"Born and raised in Iowa and came to California in 1988. The day I turned 16, I got my first car. Since that day I have restored and fabricated parts that were broken or no longer available from chrome, plastic, stainless grills, consoles and dashes. I have taken five semesters of paint and body. Personal cars I have restored were a 67 Camaro, two 1972 Chevy pickups, 68 & 69 Charger and a 68 Superbee. All of which have won trophies at local car shows. This is a passion of mine and I enjoy working on these cars. I am excited to see the cars we work here at the 401k hot rod shop."

"Raised in the small town of Tioga Louisiana, I started building cars when I was just 15 years old. I painted my first car when I was 16, and from then on I knew that I wanted to turn my hobby into a career. Working many 12 plus hours a day, with one of the greatest painters Ernest Jones, I was taught the right and wrong way to lay down the paint. When I was 22 years old, I moved to southern California to advanced knowledge in custom paint and body on the TV show Overhaulin. Since then, I have worked with and learned from talented people such as Chip Foose, Pete Santini, Charlie Hutton, Mitch Lanzini and Mike Lavalee. I have built, fabricated, body worked and custom painted many award winning and magazine cars such as Sema, Honda Tour, Autoroma, Muscle Mustang, Car Craft and Classic Trucks. Now I am very proud to be working at the 401k club hot rod shop were I can be part of a team that enjoys building high quality classics, customs, and rods as much as I do."

"I have been around hot rods all my life. My dad always had something to tweak on such as dirt bikes to boats. I starting driving and working on our boat at a young age and learned a lot about proper motor tuning. The motor was a 454 with a single carb, so I was always trying to get more out of it. Later I started racing the boat (now a blown alcohol K-boat) for about 5 years and learned even more about tuning engines. I have also built a lot of my own cars and trucks over the years. My current project is a 1950 Studebaker pickup on a custom frame with C-4 suspension and a blown 383. I have always really liked creating things out of metal. I took a machinery class for several years and learned a lot about fabrication and making custom parts. I have also done carpenter work in the past that helped me to become creative."

"During the 70’s and 80’s, I have built award wining custom vans, “R.G. Canning circuit” which included interiors, exteriors, suspension, etc. Then in the early 80’s, I moved on to build street rods for Specialized Auto in H.B., Ca. motors, front & rear clips, body modifications. I also worked for Coast Corvette customizing and repairing Corvettes of all years.

In the late 80’s and early 90’s, I was with Corvette Corrections for 10 years as a manager/mechanic. We did frame off restorations and turn key vintage race cars such as Corvettes, Mustangs, Camaros. Through the 90’s, I then moved on to become a crew chief/lead mechanic and ran 2 vintage race teams; Marconi Racing and Comar Racing. Raced through out states. Worked on Corvettes, Camaros, Mustangs, Formula 5000, Formula Fords and Lotus.

From 2000-2007, I was an operations manager at Joe’s Garage. Oversaw 50 cars and vintage motorcycles. Maintained all vehicles and venue operations."
